ERJO OSWAB 12/90 chipper
The Erjo Oswab 12/90 chipper comes with a Scania engine with a power output of up to 588 hp, and has a chipping mouth of 950 x 900 mm, and a 1200 mm diameter drum. Two large feed rollers provide a force of as much as 4.5 tons, allowing the machine to process large whole trees with many branches without difficulty. The 12/90 model is equipped with a computer to control all the parameters, catering for productivities of up to 60 ton/hr with minimal fuel consumption.

- High yield tubular steel chassis; available with hydraulic feet (optional) for use in fixed positions.
- Chipping system with 2-knife drum and easy-to-replace driveshaft. Knives fitted to steel support plates bolted onto the drum.
- Drum diameter: 1200 mm.
- Infeed aperture: 900x950 mm
- Chip length adjustable between 20 and 40 mm.
- Torque wrench and knife adjustment gauge supplied with machine.
- Dividable housing fitted with an adjustable automatic safety door that opens in the event of an overload (e.g. if a piece of iron or a stone enters the chipper).
- Easy-to-replace double Hardox steel plate chipping chamber interior.
- Separate hydraulically-controlled injection fan, with IQAN system-controlled speed to enable optimal blowing capacity whatever the drum speed. The chips never come into contact with the fan.
- Raised, remote-controlled 360° rotation outlet with ± 25° adjustable height. All the adjustments, and the folding back of the outlet into its transport position, are performed by hydraulic cylinders, and controlled from the operator’s cab.
- Integrated screen providing high quality chips. The machine is supplied with 2 screens of different sizes.
- Hydraulic feed device fitted with large 700 mm-diameter top roller and 300 mm-diameter bottom roller. Both rollers are equipped with heavy duty Hardox teeth for a large feed capacity of above 4 tons. All infeed device operations are controlled from the driver’s cab: start, stop, reverse, raise top roller, float, press.
- Folding back of infeed table into transport position by hydraulic cylinders. All the surfaces in contact with the material to be chipped made of Hardox. Hydraulic feed belt on infeed table.
- Scania DSI 16 V8 diesel engine with power output of 432 kW (588 Hp) at 2000 r.p.m. Electrically-controlled Transfluid power take-off system. Electronic control of IQAN system contributing to minimizing fuel consumption.
- Large engine and hydraulic oil cooling systems protected by a steel mesh grille and additional finely-perforated metal plate.
- Reversible hydraulic turbine for cooling system self-cleaning (the electronic IQAN system operates the inversion system for the cleaning of the radiator when necessary).
- Fuel tank holding approx. 375 litres.
- Electronic IQAN system, including LCD screen and keyboard, for supervision and control of machine functions (diesel engine, chipping unit, feeding, blowing and hydraulic system), providing the operator with a reliable and productive work environment.
As well as providing efficient control of the injection pump, the IQAN system further reduces fuel consumption by adapting the speed of the feed rollers according to the speed of the chipping drum. All machine adjustments, such as the speed of the rollers, can be carried out via the IQAN system screen.
- 24 V electrical system with 2 x 153Ah batteries and 1560 W alternator.
- Fire protection with 2 portable 10 kg extinguishers.
- Frame designed for fitting to truck (adaptable to requirements on the basis of customer-supplied drawings); 4 hydraulic lateral feet and twin central foot to use the machine in self-supporting mode.
- Remote-control.
- GPRS remote system (requires telephone SIM card, not supplied) to control and adjust any faults directly from our premises.
